Wheels

The front and rear complete wheels have different size bearings in them, which means that when ordering please state preference between front or rear. Bearings, tires, inner tubes and rims are all available to purchase separately or as a complete unit.

Tire Inflation

It is advised that you use the Mountain Buggy® pump, which comes with the stroller. If you have an older stroller without a pump then this can be purchased. The correct pressure is a maximum of 20 psi. At this pressure you should still be able to indent the tire with your thumb. Over inflated tires can cause the rim to buckle and sometimes explode. If this happens then parts may need to be replaced.

Foam Grip Replacement

There are two ways of replacing the foam grip.

  1. Replacement foam grips kits are available to order from any retailer. Please state if you have a single or double stroller. You will require a rivet gun and drill to complete the replacement. The foam grip replacement kit comes with all the relevant parts including full instructions.

  2. Replacement can be done by a registered Mountain Buggy® service agent. Please ring Mountain Buggy® or your local retailer for more information.

  3. NB: Damage to the foam grip happens as a result of normal wear and tear. It is not covered under warranty.

Folding the Urban/Elite Single and Double Strollers

To fold the Urban/Elite Single & Double strollers down make sure the front wheel is in the swivel position at the front of the stroller. Pull up the two folding levers and lift the front end of the stroller off the ground. This allows the front wheel to fall into place under the stroller.

Storage

When all Mountain Buggy® models are folded, the frame lock strap (2006 models onwards) can lock around the rear axle stopping the stroller from opening up. All previous year models have a hand strap with domes for the same purpose. With the handle adjustors folded under on the Urban/Elite models the stroller can be stored upright, all other models can also be stored upright.
